In my second year I became really interested by the way we use our time. I took these photo’s in the morning at the central station of Utrecht, one of the biggest train stations in the Netherlands. Every five minutes there arrives a train from Amsterdam, I took these photo’s in the minute in between two arrivals when there is almost nobody at the platform. In the video you will see what happens when there arrives a train, everybody tries to go upstairs as fast as possible just to go to work or school. I’m interested by the fact that we are actually always in this big rush. I got inspired by the philosophy of Henri Bergson about time. He believes that there are actually two ways of time we can life in. Usually we live by the clock, which shows us spatial time. But then, there is also time as duration in which there is no end nor beginning: there are only moments that relate to each other.
