This is a typographic poster I made for a school project. The assignment was to make a poster for the photographer Daisuke Yokota. We needed to use a photo of the artist and combine this with some typographic. The work of the photographer is really about the proces of the photo. First he takes a digital photo, and than he edit the photo with chemicals after which he photographs the edited work with an analog camera. I wanted to use kind of the same proces with his name so I printed the photo on calcium paper, and the name on normal paper which i cut out. Then I beamed the name on the photo by holding a lamp behind the two papers and that is how I got the effect of the name on the photo.
